TUCSON (KVOA) – Tourism in Tucson and Arizona definitely
took a hit during the pandemic. But there are encouraging signs
it is on the rebound.
According to the Arizona Office of Tourism, Arizona airport
passenger traffic in April was up more than 1,000 percent.
Lodging was also up 88% in April. Estimated tourism taxes was
up 47 % in March.
Dan Gibson, with Visit Tucson, said many hotels in the area are
focusing on stay-cations this year.
